YCCPCS is a Learning Community
Career Technical Education (CTE) classes give students real-world applicable skills and are the core element of our program. Our school offers many CTE Pathways ranging from Introductory to Capstone level courses. Students spend a minimum of 1.25 hours to 4 hours a week attending a Career Technical Education (CTE) course a week earning 2.5 - 5 credits per semester.
Are you looking for educational experiences for your child that are unlike anything you’ve seen before? YCCPCS is a unique alternative to the typical school. We focus on students who prefer a more flexible, hands-on, skills-based environment rather than a standard K-8 or high school A-G route.
YCCPCS has two different Independent Study Programs: Traditional Independent Study (IS) Program for K-12 and “Cohort Independent Study Program” for 9-12 grade. Both programs have the goal of helping every student work toward earning a high school diploma. The high school program is complete with 220 units of high school credits, including Career Technical Education (CTE), community service, and concurrent enrollment opportunities.
