Parent Involvement

Parent Involvement Opportunities

The Charter School invites all parents and guardians to be involved in school functions and meetings. There are several opportunities for you to participate.

  • Charter Advisory Council Meetings: We meet approximately seven times - Oct., Jan., March, and June. We meet at 4:00 for approximately 30 minutes. The Advisory Council reviews policies, curriculum, school documents, and gives input on school programs.
  • ELAC (English Language Acquisition Committee) : Meets four times a year quarterly starting in October. This committee advises the principal and staff in the development of a site plan for English learners and submitting the plan to the Advisory Board for consideration of inclusion in the LCAP. They assist in the development of the school-wide needs assessments and ways to make parents aware of the importance of regular school attendance.
  • LCAP (Local Control and Accountability Plan): Meets four times a year, dates to be determined. This group reviews all of the school data from all sources and advises on developing a school-wide plan.
  • Auto Show: The school will host an auto show in September. We also need help with setting up, getting donations, etc.

Please contact Teresa Leon at 530-749-4004 if you want to be involved in any of the above listed activities at the Charter School.

If you are unable to participate in any of these events, we encourage you to attend every meeting with your student as frequent communication and involvement with your student's teacher promotes academic success.
