Mandee Reed
Hello, Bear Family!
My name is Mandee J. Reed. (With a name like “REED” how could I be anything other than an English Teacher?!) This is my seventh year as an Independent Study Teacher and, this year, I’m teaching Cohort classes with my colleagues, Dr. Rizzo and Mrs. Padden.
The first thing you should know about me is that I take my position here at YCCPCS very seriously while simultaneously bringing fun, joy, gratitude, and empathy to every aspect of my job. I see myself not only as an educator but as a guide, mentor, life coach, and source of support for all students and families here at YCCPCS.
I operate on our school motto: GROWL - which is to Grow Respect Own Work and Love. I see this as a way of life inside and outside of YCCPCS and model it daily. I put my heart and soul into this school and am always available to students and parents if and when they need me. Some of my interests include writing screenplays, sewing quilts and pillowcases, and reading books about how to be a better person and a better teacher.
Oh! And I recently rescued the cutest little blind dog on Earth! He’s Ollie, the gray and white Shih Tzu, and you may see him around campus - especially if you go to Vet Tech!
I am dedicated to my profession, to my students, and to the pursuit of education for all.
I am here for you!
