Melanie Sparks

Welcome to Biology and Veterinary Technology!  My name is Ms. Sparks and I will be your instructor, your parent away from home, that annoying little voice in your head that reminds you to do the stuff you really don’t want to do, and most of all your advocate for this school year.

  A huge fan of anything life science related, my background ranges from work as a Registered Veterinary Technician in an animal shelter to brown bear research on Kodiak Island, Alaska. 

    After 20 + years of practical experience, I decided to enter graduate school to pursue a science teaching credential so I could share what I have learned over the years with a new generation of science lovers.
